Here we have a sealed copy of the classic Resident Evil 4, however this is the re-released version from 2010.
As this release is fairly recent it should be relatively easy to find on ebay, and can be picked up for around £10, however, I would expect these to increase in value.
Here we have a sealed copy of Silent Hill 3 which, unsurprisingly, is the third game in the franchise and the second to appear on the PlayStation 2. It is set some seventeen years after the events of the original Silent Hill game.
All in all a decent game which received favourable reviews when it was originally released. This sealed copy is of the re-released version from 2011. This is the Platinum release of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, which you would think isn’t a particular rare version of the game. However you would be surprised on how few occasions this would turn up on ebay.
When it does quite often it contains the original disc and not the platinum disc. I have no idea why this would be but I finally manage to track one down for about £3. If you do find one I would imagine you should be able to secure it for a similar price.
True Crimes: Streets of LA was not a game which set the PlayStation 2 alight, being another inferior GTA clone. However it did come in this rare tin edition. This is not a steelbook version, just a metal tin which houses the standard version of the game box.
This is not seen a great deal on ebay, but when it does turn up it can be picked up cheaply. I paid around £5 for my copy, which is well worth the money for an unusual collector’s version.
These are the promo disc versions of Forbidden Siren 1 and 2 (known as just Siren outside of the PAL regions). This is a series well worth a look if you are in to survival horror, as there is a little more depth than most of games in this genre.
The games main protagonist has the psychic ability of “sightjacking”, which enables them to hear and see through the eyes of other character in the game.
These discs do tend to turn up every so often on ebay, and can be picked up for between £5 and £10 each.

I have been after this particular promo for a while now and was very pleased to snap one up from ebay for £20.
However, expect to pay around £40 and upwards for a copy, as most on ebay tend to be on “buy it now” auctions.
Here we have a sealed copy of Silent Hill: Origins, which is the fifth game in the franchise and a prequel to the first game, being set seven years before the events of the original Silent Hill.
This copy of the game was picked up off ebay for about £10, however I expect in the years to come sealed games like these will appreciate in value.
This is the steelbook version of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, official titled Limited Metal Edition. This version of the game is not particularly common, possibly because there is no difference between this and the original release apart for the metal case.
Also it retailed at £59.99 when released back in 2005 so I would guess sales weren’t particularly high. This can be picked up easily enough of ebay, but expect to pay £20 or more for a copy. As with all steelbook editions the condition can vary, so be on the lookout for any dents or chips in the paintwork.
This is the press pack for the PlayStation 2 version of “This Is Football 2002”, which was released in 2001.
Included is a “Press Information (September 2001)” compact disc with the PlayStation 1 PAL logo on it. Interestingly though this disc isn’t recognised as a valid disc by either the PlayStation 1 or PlayStation 2 hardware.
Examining the contents through a PC shows that this disc just contains a number of images of the PlayStation 2, Sony’s “Multitap” peripheral and promotional images of the game (but no actual game screen shoots).
The other disc is the actual game disc (not a promo disc) and is identical to the one you would get with the original release. Although the game itself was decent enough it couldn’t really compete with either the FIFA or PES franchises. Ultimately this franchise had to admit defeat and the last instalment of the game was “This Is Football 2005”, which was also release on the PlayStation 2.
I picked this up from ebay a few years ago for under £5, which is a price I am more than happy with. However, I am not sure what it is actually worth as I have not seen another one of these since.

This game was originally released on the Sega Dreamcast as Resident Evil Code: Veronica back in 2000. This updated PlayStation 2 version, with the added X in the title, was release in 2001. The updates were essentially a “Director’s Cut” which contains approximately ten minutes of extra cut scenes and some graphical changes.
This is another promo that is not seen that often on ebay so expect to pay upwards of £30 if you are lucky enough to track one down.
