Crash – Catalogue

Posted in Books & Magazines, ZX Spectrum on November 29, 2013 by drewturpin

This is a rare copy of one of the first Crash software catalogues. Crash originally was a mail order software company selling ZX Spectrum cassettes, and these catalogues were sent out to customers. This catalogue is not dated but is believed to have been published somewhere around the middle of 1983.

Only three of four different catalogues are thought to have been published in total, and this stopped in October 1983 when the first edition of Crash magazine was being planned.

An interesting fact is that the street on the back page, drawn by Oliver Frey, features the original company office (Crash Towers). I was fortunate enough to pick this up on ebay for about £2, and have not seen any of these catalogues before or since. Considering the age of the catalogue it is in great condition.

Putting a price on this item is difficult due to fact that they do not turn up very often, however they are well worth tracking down.

Die Hard Trilogy 2: Viva Las Vegas – Playing Cards

Posted in PC, Playstation 1 on November 15, 2013 by drewturpin

Here we have a sealed pack of Die Hard Trilogy 2: Vendetta playing cards, which were a promotion items for the Playstation and PC release of the game. However I’m afraid I don’t know anymore than that.

I picked up ten of these at a boot sale for 20 pence each. I sold nine on ebay for £5 and upwards, with this last one staying in my collection.
